Our Story

Our story is a continuation of what Jesus and His followers started over 2,000 years ago.

The Independence Foursquare Church is part of The River Church Family over in Raytown, Missouri. The larger Foursquare movement has been serving and ministering to people around the world since 1923, but our Independence campus is a fresh, new step - rooted in Jesus’ call to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19–20).
